===== Attribute length =====

Attribute length applies only to [[ref:glossary:attribute|text attribtues]]. It specifies the maximum number of letters allowed for the attribute value. For example, the length for a customer name may be set to 100. When specifying the length the [[ref:glossary:configurator]] should use some sufficient but sensible number to avoid wasting space in the [[2000_concepts:0500_data_storage|data storage]].
