If a [[ref:glossary:configurator|configurator]] marks an [[ref:glossary:attribute|attribute]] as indexed, **//[[ref:glossary:aware_im]]//** will instruct the underlying database system to create an index for this attribute. Creating database index may significantly speed up [[ref:glossary:query|queries]] involving the attribute. This is an advanced option to be used by users familiar with the database management systems.
