===== Query =====

A query is used in the [[ref:glossary:operation_mode|operation mode]] to find [[ref:glossary:business_object|business objects]] that meet specified [[ref:glossary:condition|conditions]]. Query results can be displayed to the user or used for processing by [[ref:glossary:rule|rules]], for example within a [[ref:glossary:process|process]]. Queries can also find objects that belong to a [[ref:glossary:business_object_group|business object group]].

If query results are intended to be displayed to users, the [[ref:glossary:configurator|configurator]] can select which [[ref:glossary:attribute|attributes]] of the found business objects should appear on a standard result page. 

The configurator can specify queries in [[ref:glossary:query_simple_form|simple form]], [[ref:glossary:query_rule_form|rule form]] or [[ref:glossary:query_sql_form|SQL form]].
