Productivity Features

AwareIM offers a number of productivity features that help configurators work with business space versions:

• A business space version can be exported to, or imported from a file, so that configurations can be shared (see Exporting Business Space Version and Importing Business Space Version). This makes it possible to prepare configuration templates for others to use.
• A business space version in the CURRENT or UNDER TEST state must be consistent, i.e. it must not have invalid rules, references to non-existent business objects etc. AwareIM performs rigorous checks of the validity of the version’s elements before the version is made operational or made available for testing. This process is called integrity checking – see Checking Version Integrity.
• On configurator’s request AwareIM can generate documentation for a particular version. This documentation has the names, properties and descriptions of all elements in the version (business objects, business rules, processes etc) in the format that can be easily viewed or printed. The documentation is an entirely separate structure and no access to AwareIM software is required to view it. The documentation can be used for reference and/or audit purposes.
